ABOUT US
Our organization formed out of a strong belief in 3 things: the power of human connection, the importance of neighborhoods, and a strong commitment to Aurora Avenue as a place.
While we're fully aware that Aurora is actually a state highway, we couldn't overlook the small businesses, non-profits, neighbors and drivers that dotted the length of the corridor.
I guess you could say: we couldn't overlook the people.
Our roots and initial mentoring for engaging Aurora Avenue came from local faith communities. We leaned on the principles of asset-based community development, seeking to bring only new things that were needed. After a few summers of the newly created Celebrate North Seattle event, we were encouraged to formally apply for non-profit status, which we received in 2016.
Our hope is to rebuild the neighborhoods around Aurora from the inside out.
We currently do work in three areas: small business networking/support, community events, and art. Together, we are building a place we're proud of.

Relationship driven
Without healthy relational connection, the fabric of our neighborhoods begins to fray. We place the highest value on cultivating trusting relationships in every endeavor.
Creatively Inclined
Creativity is a key element to neighborhood transformation. Everything we do seeks to incorporate creative thinking into solving old problems AND dreaming new neighborhood dreams.
Neighborhood Focused
It's best to start small. Seattle's wonderful make-up of smaller neighborhoods are filled with individuals with gifts to use for the good of others. We're here to connect those dots. It's good old fashioned neighbors knowing neighbors.
